HUNTERSVILLE – Central Piedmont Community College’s Heavy Equipment and Transport Technology Department, in conjunction with Carolina Tractor, will host an open house March 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the CPCC Merancas Campus, 11930 Verhoeff Drive, to educate local residents on the College’s Carolina CAT Service Technician Program. The yearlong program began in August 2011 and registration is open for the fall 2012 class. The program was created in response to the heavy equipment industry’s need for professionals skilled in high-tech and hands-on careers.
