Students from McKinney Academy capped off Black History Month on Monday, Feb. 27, with a performance of “Seven Spools of Thread” at the Birkdale Barnes and Noble. In the African folk tale about respect, a group of seven disagreeable brothers and sisters must make gold out of seven spools of thread or be turned into beggars.
