HUNTERSVILLE – Presbyterian Healthcare is accepting applications for the 2012 Junior Volunteers summer program.

The nine-week program allows students to assist staff, visitors and patients with non-medical tasks. All applicants must be 14 years old by June 1.

Volunteers must be capable of following directions, accepting supervision, working independently and exhibiting interest and enthusiasm. They must commit to one three-and-a-half-hour shift per week. Only two absences will be allowed. No evening or weekend shifts will be available.

Applicants, along with a parent, must be interviewed by hospital staff, attend orientation sessions and complete a hospital-provided health screening to be accepted into the program.

All students may apply by March 31 by downloading the application online at www.presbyterian.org/volunteers.
