CHARLOTTE – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education voted Feb. 14 to create an Intergovernmental Relations Committee to focus on strengthening the board’s relationship with Mecklenburg County, the city of Charlotte and the N.C. General Assembly.
The committee, led by at-large members Mary McCray and Tim Morgan, will assist the board in developing the annual legislative agenda given to the General Assembly, as well as negotiating the annual operating budget and other agreements with the city and county.
