Stephen Mobley, a member of Boy Scout Troop 200, was recently honored with the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a senior at Hough High School, and is the son of Richard and Paula Mobley of Huntersville.

For his Eagle Scout project, Stephen built a Medical Evaluation Shelter for the raptors at the Carolina Raptor Center. The shelter is used to evaluate the health of the raptors that are being rehabilitated. The placement of this shelter facilitates the medical evaluation of the raptors’ because it is located much closer to the raptors cages. The raptor center rehabilitates birds of prey such as eagles and hawks that have been injured, and releases them back into the wild or uses them for teaching purposes.

Boy Scout Troop 200 meets at Ramah Presbyterian Church in Huntersville.
