Lake Norman Teen Council hosts benefit

DAVIDSON – The Lake Norman Teen Council is partnering with Ben and Jerry’s in Davidson, 202 S. Main St., to host a benefit night Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., to help support the council. The Lake Norman Teen Council is an organization that provides a safe environment for students in grade 6-12 to create service projects, attend character-building workshops, visit college campuses and go on teen trips. Teen Council also uses its funds to donate directly to local causes. The group is led by its elected executive board and advised by the Parks and Recreation Departments of Cornelius, Huntersville, and Davidson. Twenty percent of all proceeds will be donated to the Teen Council.
