More than 250 organizations from across the country are giving Davidson students the chance to join them for a day on the job.

The Davidson College Office of Career Services’ Job Shadowing Program, which occurs during students’ winter break, calls on college alumni or parent volunteers to provide a real-world work-force experience.

Hosts will give students a tour of the workplace, a comprehensive overview of the role and a look at the organization’s structure.

Students will get the chance to go inside the walls of companies like Google, Microsoft, General Electric, ABC News and CNN and government organizations like Centers for Disease Control and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The job shadowing experiences will be in locations like Charlotte, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and New York.
