Debbie McConnell Erwin

HUNTERSVILLE – A graveside service for Debbie McConnell Erwin, 64, will be held Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. at Northlake Memorial Gardens.

Erwin died Dec. 10, 2012, at her home.

She was born March 24, 1948, in Mecklenburg County.

Survivors include her mother, Emma Rinehart, of Canton; brothers, Dewey McConnell, of Maggie Valley, and Daniel McConnell, of Davidson; sister, Coleen Gaye of Conway, S.C.; four nieces; two nephews; and a longtime companion, Maguel Hernandez.

Edith Ann Tobia Castricone

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Edith Ann Tobia Castricone, 88, were held Dec. 6 at St. Mark Catholic Church.

She died Dec. 4, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital-Huntersville.

Castricone was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Ontario, Canada, and resided in Buffalo, N.Y., prior to relocating to North Carolina.
Survivors include her son, Cesidio Castricone Jr. and wife, Laura; daughters, Adele Mertzlufft and husband, Gerald and Angela Zeffiro and husband, Thomas; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

James Malcolm Beazley

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for James “Jim” Malcolm Beazley, 67, will be held at a later date.

He died Dec. 3, 2012 at his home.

Beazley was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late James Beazley and Kathleen Talbot Forbes Beazley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James William Beazley.

Beazley was a retired independent contractor.

He is survived by his daughter; Tracey Naghshineh and husband, David, of Virginia; brothers; Robert Beazley, of New York, and Steven Beazley of Virginia, sister; Pamela LaMesa of Connecticut; grandsons; William and Andrew Naghshineh, of Virginia; two nieces; and two nephews.

Melissa Ann Pender

HUNTERSVILLE -– Funeral services for Melissa Ann Pender, 32, will be held at Twistwood Cemetery in Rose Hill, Mich.

She died Dec. 1, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center.

Pender, formerly of Pacachuta, Mich., was born Aug. 7, 1980, in Lauderdale County, Mich., to William Earl Pender and Cheryl Ann Pittman Pender.

Survivors include her parents; and sister, Jennifer Clark of Taylorsville, Mich.

Arthur M. Bailey

CORNELIUS – Funeral services for Arthur M. Bailey, 81, were held Dec. 4 at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery.

He died Nov. 30, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center.

Bailey was born June 1, 1931, in Mecklenburg County to the late John and Essie Bailey. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ray, Willis, Alfred and Kenneth Bailey; and sisters, Helen Tucker, Ruth Martin, Loyce Bailey and Jessie Byers.

Survivors include a large group of nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Bud Wilson and Darrell Hodge.

Martha Zimmerman Dusek

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Martha Zimmerman Dusek, 78, were held Dec. 5 in the chapel of James Funeral Home.

She died Nov. 30, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital-Huntersville.

Dusek was born April 9, 1934, in Leetonia, Ohio, to the late Chalmer and Twila Holloway Zimmerman.

Survivors include her husband, Will Dusek, of Huntersville; daughters, Linda Schafer and husband, Bryan, of Denver, Chris Stallsmith and husband, David, of Cornelius, and Kimberly Drag, of Cornelius; sisters, June Yerovsek and husband, Bob, and Bonnie Hayes and husband, Bucky, all of Florida; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

HUNTERSVILLE – Funeral services for Janice Tilson Irvin, 78, were held Dec. 3 at First Baptist Church.

She died Nov. 30, 2012, at the Huntersville Oaks.

Irvin was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Olin and Grace Tilson.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, George, Kenneth and Brenda Tilson.

Survivors include her husband, Spencer Allen Irvin; son, Larry Irvin and wife, Judy, of Huntersville; daughter, Gina Irvin Ewart, of Huntersville; grandchildren, Kendall and wife, Holly, Brent Irvin and Blake and Lydia Ewart; siblings, Lib Caldwell, C.O.
