CHARLOTTE – Mecklenburg County Courts have implemented an upgraded interactive voice response system to improve customer service.

Using this system, citizens who receive a jury summons can call the juror information line at 704-686-0195 to access information about their jury service.

Additionally, defendants who have been placed on a payment plan to repay monies due to the court can call the fine collection information line at 704-686-0240 to access information related to their outstanding court fines, fees and costs.

These automated phone lines operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provide callers with information in English and Spanish.

For Mecklenburg County residents who have received a jury summons, the new system will provide information about their reporting date, status, instructions and information on how to request a deferral using this system, as well as general information about jury service in the county.

A new feature of this system allows potential jurors to request a reminder call that will be placed three days prior to their date of service. They can visit the juror webiste at jury.mecklenburgcountync.gov to request a reminder email.
