Cornelius Police promote three officers

Capt. David Baucom has been an officer with the Cornelius Police Department since April 19, 1999.
He was promoted to sergeant in May of 2003 and lieutenant in April of 2008.
As lieutenant, he served over the Support Services Division, Communications Division, and Patrol Division.
He completed the Management Development Program through the North Carolina Department of Justice in 2011.
Capt. Baucom has also been awarded his Intermediate and Advanced Law Enforcement certificates.
Lt. James Quattlebaum has been an officer with the Cornelius Police Department since April 13, 2004.
In November of 2008, he joined the Investigations Division and was promoted to sergeant over investigations in July of 2010.
Lt. Quattlebaum was awarded his Intermediate Law Enforcement certificate in October of 2008 and his Traffic Enforcement and Investigation certificate by the North Carolina Justice Academy in April of 2009.
Sgt. Jonathan Sarver has been a Cornelius Police patrol officer since June 2, 2010.
He has been in law enforcement for 16 years and serves as a field training officer and law enforcement general instructor for the department.
Sgt. Sarver was awarded his Advanced Law Enforcement certificate in February 2005.
