HUNTERSVILLE – Most electric customers served by ElectriCities in Huntersville will experience a power outage from 10 p.m.-3 a.m. Nov. 11-12. The total outage time is expected to be no more than 5 hours.

The outage will allow Duke Power to repair a transformer in the substation and perform maintenance on other equipment. This power outage only affects electric customers in Huntersville that are served by ElectriCities.

Customers in the Monteith Place, Verhoeff Drive, Commerce Station Park and Plum Creek areas won’t be affected.

The Town of Huntersville reverse notification system will also be used to leave pre-recorded phone messages regarding the power outage.

The ElectriCities office will be fully staffed during the power outage. Customer service representatives can be reached by calling 704-948-0550 for additional information and updates during the outage.
