CORNELIUS – Christmas is just around the corner and it’s time to let Santa know what you want so he can get his toy makers working early on your presents.

We have it on good authority that he is increasing his elf staff this year to handle the large numbers of good boys and girls.

So, to make sure you get what you want, bring your letters down to the Community Arts Center in Cornelius and Santa will personally write you back.

“I love hearing from all the good children around the world to find out what they will want for Christmas this year,” Santa told the Herald Weekly staff.

Santa will also be making a special trip to the Community Arts Center from 9-11 a.m. Dec. 7.

Children will get the chance to talk with Santa and give him their Christmas requests in person. So don’t forget to bring your camera.

There will also be hot cocoa and holiday crafts.

Santa’s Mailbox will be available until Dec. 14 and can be found at the Cornelius Arts Center, 19725 Oak St.

Make sure you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope and so you can get a letter back from the North Pole.

You can contact the Cornelius Arts Center at 704-896-8823 for more information on getting your letters to Santa.

Other holiday events at the Community Arts Center include the second ’Tawba Walk from 1-4 p.m. Dec. 2 in the center’s parking lot. There will be art for sale, vendors, music, food and fun for families.

The Community Arts Center will be at the Christmas in Davidson celebration at Town Hall all three nights, Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
