Tickets are available for an upcoming appearance by New York Times columnist and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Nicholas Kristof. He will present the college’s annual Reynolds Lecture at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in Duke Family Performance Hall.

Kristof will speak about “Half the Sky,” the book he co-authored with his journalist wife Sheryl WuDunn.

The book brings together video, websites, school curricula, blogs and other tools to raise awareness of women’s issues and to provide concrete steps to empower women.

Kristof and WuDunn won the Pulitzer Prize in 1990 for their coverage of China’s Tiananmen Square riots. Kristof won a second Pulitzer in 2006 for columns on the situation in Darfur.

Free tickets to the event are available at the College Union Ticket Office from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays. They are also available for a $3 per ticket fee by phone at 704-894-2135 or online at www.davidson.edu/tickets.

A question-and-answer session and book signing will follow the lecture. For more information on the event, call 704-894-2192.
