Local and state governments and business entities are eligible to apply for grants up to $35,000 to build community efforts for disaster preparedness and resilience.

The grants, administered by the Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation, are provided by the Rockefeller Foundation and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Applications are open to local, state and tribal agencies and governments; business entities; associations and organizations. Submissions will be accepted through Oct. 26.
