Jimmy Carroll Bumgarner
Funeral services were held for Jimmy Carroll Bumgarner on Oct. 4 at Cornelius Presbyterian Church.
Born Jan. 8, 1945, in Iredell County, he was the son of the late James Monroe Bumgarner and Edith Christie Bumgarner.
He was a member of the Cornelius Presbyterian Church and was retired from Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System with 30 years of service as a HVAC specialist. After retirement, he was employed with Ingersoll Rand for 18 years. Bumgarner also retired from the Cornelius – Lemley Fire Rescue Department in 1998 after 37 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sharyon Reid Bumgarner; daughter, Kristi B. Smith and her husband, Neal, of Davidson; sons, Jimmy C. Bumgarner Jr. and his wife, Michele, of Monument, Colo. and Jeremy Bumgarner and his wife, Angela, of Locust; sister, Sue Barnette of Huntersville; father-in-law, Hollis Reid of Locust; and grandchildren, Malea, Keeley, Anna, Caleb and Adam.

Agnes Blythe Barnette
Funeral services for Agnes Blythe Barnette were held Oct. 1 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
Born Sept. 2, 1920 in Mecklenburg County to the late James Franklin and Nannie Abernathy Blythe, Barnette worked as a bookkeeper at Piedmont National Gas and then at Cross Motor Company.
She was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member of the Wayland Sunday School class and the Mary Torrence Circle. She was a member of the NC DAR Alexandriana Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bertram Alexander Barnette Sr. Survivors include her sons, Richard McCoy Barnette and wife, Virginia, of Mt. Mourne, Alex Barnette and wife, Lillian, of Huntersville, Jim Barnette and wife, Mildred, of Queenstown, Md.; grandchildren, Trey Barnette, Michael Barnette, Kristi B. Geib, Scot Barnette and Julia B. Rogers; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jeanne Frimodig Brower
Jeanne Frimodig Brower died Sept. 29 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born Dec. 25, 1952 in New York, she was the daughter of the late Henry Alexander Frimodig and Anne Romano Brower. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Roy Brower; and son, Philip Garcia and his wife, Anna. ?

Patrick Lee “Ricky” Huddleston
Funeral services for Patrick Lee Huddleston were held Sept. 26 at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
Born June 19, 1987, in Summersville, W.Va., to Steven and Lorene Wyant Huddleston, he graduated from Vance High School in Charlotte and was an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his nine-week-old daughter, Aubrey Layne Huddleston; fiancé, Jessey Crowder of Charlotte; brother, Charles L. Huddleston of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Valerie Ann Huddleston of Tuscan, Ariz.; maternal grandfather, James Wyant; and paternal step-grandmother Mary Rose Huddleston.

Robert Carl “Bob” Martin
Funeral services for Bob Martin were held on Sept. 24 at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home chapel.
Born May, 23, 1949 in Canton, Ohio, Bob was the son of Cordie Martin and the late Harold Martin. He attended Lincoln High School and Akron University and then entered a career in manufacturing engineering.
Bob was an avid craftsman who could create, build and fix just about anything; his daughter’s friends fondly referred to him as “Bob the Builder.” Bob also became a devoted historian and genealogist.
Survivors include wife, Alice Porter Martin; daughters, Carly Jeanne Martin of Huntersville and Lee Ann Reich of Canton, Ohio; son, Matthew Jennings Martin, of Navarre, Ohio; mother and stepfather, Cordie Martin Taylor and Raymond Taylor of Canton, Ohio; and siblings John Martin of Canton, Ohio and Joan Rhodes of Alliance, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be given to the American Heart Association.
