DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.  – Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been medically cleared to return to NASCAR competition after recovering from a concussion, NASCAR reported Oct. 23.

NASCAR’s medical liaison office received notification of Earnhardt’s clearance late Tuesday morning. He will drive the No. 88 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports this weekend at Martinsville Speedway.
