DAVIDSON – Davidson Day School officials announced a decision Oct. 18 to hire Kendell S. Berry as head of school.
Berry has served the school as interim head of school since July, following the departure of Bonnie Cotter. The former head of school at Evansville Day School in Indiana has more than 30 years of educational, managerial and administrative leadership experience in private schools and 15 years of headship experience, according to the school.
“We are extremely proud to announce Kendell Berry as our new head of school,” Richard Gordon, the school’s board of trustee chairman, said. “We are confident that Mr. Berry will lead the school with a clear and consistent message that will allow us to grow and continue to be an independent school that strives to deliver academic excellence.”
