Parent workshop focuses on learning disabilities, brain function

The workshop takes place at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Brain Balance, 20601 Torrence Chapel Road, Cornelius. Topics discussed include brain functioning in children with disabilities, auditory and visual processing and strategies children can use to learn in a home or school setting. Parents, teachers and other professionals are invited to attend.
The Brain Balance will hold the same workshop at its Pineville location at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at 9101 Pineville-Matthews Road for those who can’t attend the Cornelius event. Brain Balance staff will provide childcare at both events if requested at registration.
