STATESVILLE – The Carolina BalloonFest takes place Oct. 19-21, at the Statesville Regional Airport.

Friday is community appreciation day with free admission to the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy day of music, balloons, arts and crafts, Kids Zone activities and North Carolina wine tasting.

Each day will kick off with the hot air balloon fly-in followed by a night of live musical entertainment. This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of pilot and champion hot air balloonist, Ed Ristaino.
