WCNC is reporting that a series of vehicle-break ins, including two vehicle thefts, occurred earlier this week in Davidson.

The break-ins occurred during the early morning of Oct. 7 & 8 and according to police, one thing linked them all: victim's vehicles were unlocked.

One of the stolen vehicles was a Toyota Corolla taken early Oct. 7 from a home on Kindertson Drive in the Davidson Woods area. The car was found later that day at the Cornelius Public Library.

The other stolen vehicle was a Volkswagen Passat, taken early Oct. 8, from a home on Dogwood Lane.  That vehicle was also found later on the same day it was taken, but at the 20300 block of N. Main Street in Davidson.

Victims also reported a stolen bicycle, GPS, laptops and money from the unlocked vehicles.

The suspect is described as a white male ranging from 5'6" to 6' tall.
