CORNELIUS – Hough High defensive tackle Blake Dueitt was selected to play in the 77th Shrine Bowl all-star football game.

The game pits North Carolina’s top 44 seniors against those from South Carolina, and will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 15 at Wofford’s Gibbs Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C.

Proceeds will benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Dueitt is the lone player picked from the Lake Norman area for the prestigious game. He is 6-foot-2 and 255 pounds, and has committed to Ball State University.
