HUNTERSVILLE – The Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking players for a number of its athletic leagues. Those include:

• Youth volleyball for ages 9 to 16. Registration begins Feb. 1.  A clinic ran by the Davidson College Women’s Volleyball team will be held March 10. The league costs $65 for residents and $80 for others.

• Adult softball league. Registration begins Feb. 6. A coaches meeting will be held Jan. 30 at the parks and recreation office at 105 Gilead Road. The league costs $470 per co-ed league team and $575 for a men’s league team.

• The Ralph Lambert Senior Softball League, for adults 50 or older. Registration begins Feb. 1 and costs $30 for residents and $45 for others. The league is being ran by the Huntersville department and the Cornelius Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Department.
