DAVIDSON – John Marshall Custom Homes of Davidson will hold an open house Saturday, Jan. 21, of a LEED-certified home under construction at 518 Walnut St.

The open house will showcase the process of building a more environmentally friendly home and give insight on manufacturing such a house. Rodney Graham, owner of John Marshall Custom Homes, will answer questions.

This is the third LEED-certified home the company has built. The other two are located at 233 Catawba Ave. and 631 Alexander Way, both in Davidson.

LEED-certified homes must meet the strict standards of energy and water efficiency, site selection, indoor air quality, materials utilization and sustainable construction practices.
