A convenience store clerk was held at gunpoint last week when a man snuck up behind her and demanded cash.
The woman told police she was cleaning up at the Fast Track convenient store, 502 Gilead Road, on Aug. 31 when the man pressed a gun to her back around 8:30 p.m.
The man demanded the clerk hand over the store’s cash, an assortment of cigarettes and her purse, police said. The burglar then ran away.
The man was described as a black, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and skinny, police said. He was wearing a khaki-colored baseball hat, a khaki-colored shirt with orange sleeves, black athletic shorts and shoes.
Anyone who may know this man or anything about the crime should call Huntersville Police Lt. Ken Richardson or the on-duty watch commander at 704-464-5400.
