HUNTERSVILLE – Lake Norman Charter School, 12701 Old Statesville Road., will host on Sept. 27 “Rachel’s Challenge,” a program inspired by Rachel Scott, the first person killed during the Columbine High School massacre.
The Columbine shootings occurred April 20, 1999 in Littleton, Colo., and according to a news release, “Scott left behind an amazing legacy and a simple challenge to anyone who will accept it – treat other with kindness and compassion and you just may change the world you live in.”
The program takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Lake Norman Charter High School gym. Call the school at 875-3389 for more information.
