SouthLake Christian, 3-0 for the first time in school history, has a bye this week.
“I am thrilled with the start of the season so far,” coach Rich Landis said. “I’m even more thrilled with the practice attitude and work ethic of the team and coaches. We truly believe this can be a special year.”
SouthLake’s Randy Schroeder has passed for 688 yards and six touchdowns, including three to Demitri Allison. Adam Gilkerson has rushed for 268 yards and three scores. The defense is led by Scott Richardson (17 tackles) and Brian Jones (16), Allison and Sam Hatfield (three interceptions apiece), and Taylor Jurney and Scott Richardson (six sacks each).
