CORNELIUS – On Sept. 17, the Peninsula Community Foundation set records for attendance and raised nearly $90,000 in live and silent auction proceeds. Master of Ceremonies WBTV News Anchor Paul Cameron helped run the event in conjunction with guest auctioneer N.C. House Speaker Thom Tillis.
Combining cash donations and pledges, the foundation is expected to raise well over $100,000 for charities in the lake area.
