DAVIDSON – The Wild Over LKN Community Habitat Project at the 2011 Lake Norman Wildlife Festival will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the North Harbor Club. The club is located at 100 N. Harbor Place, and the event will be held rain or shine.
“We are celebrating the fact that we’ve done something that’s never been done before in the United States,” said Steve Turley, president of the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationist. “In less than a two-year period, LNWC member Don West and his team of volunteers has put our area on the map by creating a certified Community Wildlife Habitat out of a large body of water and every zip code surrounding it.”
Tickets for the event cost $50 and include a gourmet dinner, wildlife program, music, dancing and an auction. A shuttle boat will transport boaters anchored in the harbor to the event.
All are welcome to attend; the dress code is lake casual.
Reservations are limited and must be paid in advance. Register online at www.lakenormanwildlife.org.
