Cornelius police searching for robber
CORNELIUS – Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man who robbed a restaurant employee Saturday, Sept. 17.
A Bojangle’s employee was taking the restaurant’s deposit to the bank around 3:45 p.m. when he drove to the area of 19705 One Norman Blvd. There, he said, a heavy-set black man with “scruffy” facial hair came from behind a parked trailer and walked in front of his car. The man brandished what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash and his car keys, police said.
After getting the cash, the man ran away.
Anyone with information should Call North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers at 704-896-7867. Calls to Crime Stoppers can be anonymous and can lead to rewards for tips leading to arrests.
