HUNTERSVILLE – Former Chairman of the Mecklenburg County Republican Party John Aneralla announced his candidacy for the N.C. State Senate District 41, which includes Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville, Matthews and Mint Hill as well as parts of east and southeast Charlotte.
“I’m running to ensure the positive legislative changes enacted this past year continue after the 2012 election,” Aneralla said.  “Republicans came into the majority in both state legislatures for the first time in over 100 years and set North Carolina in a positive direction of regulations, consolidation of agencies and divestment of non-government responsibilities.”
A resident of Mecklenburg County since 1986, Aneralla, his wife, Nancy, and their two children have lived in Huntersville since 1997 where they are members of Davidson United Methodist Church.  Aneralla coaches youth sports in north Mecklenburg County and is a member of the Lake Norman Kiwanis Club.
