HUNTERSVILLE – All women and girls at Hopewell Presbyterian Church and their guests are invited to the church’s fourth annual Moderators’ Tea on Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. in the Family Life Center, 10500 Beatties Ford Road.

The event will feature tea and goodies and the installation of new officers for Hopewell’s Presbyterian Women and recognition of former moderators.

The church will provide a nursery for children younger than 4. Call Jennifer Shore, at 704-724-7103, to reserve a space.

To assist in planning, organizers also ask women and girls interested in attending sign a list in the vestibule or call the church office at 704-875-2291 by Aug. 21.

The 2011-12 Presbyterian Women Coordinating Team officers are: Jennifer Shore, moderator; Lillian Barnette, moderator-elect; Leigh Murray, secretary; Jean Baker, treasurer; Gail Park, historian; Karen McAuley, Search Committee chair; Barbara Cannon, hospitality coordinator; Kathy McNeely, special givings communicator; Jane Whitley, bereavement communicator; Joan Anderson, publicity communicator; and Jenny Purtill, ex-officio members.

Circle chairs are: Jamie Brooks, Cora Wayland Circle; Pam Hamilton, Ella Houston/Ona Patterson Circle; Becky Moore, John Moore Circle; and Cindy Redmon, Mary Torrence Circle.

Representatives to the Officer Nominating Committee are Raegan Foy and Karen McAuley, and Kathy McNeely and Jane Whitley serve as liaisons to the Craft/Bazaar Group.
