HUNTERSVILLE – The Huntersville Parks and Recreation Commission is inviting the public to an Aug. 17 meeting to hear the 2020 Parks and Recreation Master Plan Recommendation.

The meeting takes place that Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Huntersville Town Hall, 101 Huntersville-Concord Road.

During the meeting, park board members and staff will present the findings and recommendations of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan committee.

Then, town residents will have a chance to comment on the recommendations, which town officials also will post on the town’s website, www.huntersville.org.

Town officials will consider residents’ comments at the meeting before settling on a final draft of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

Park officials expect to complete the master plan report, which was last updated in 2004, by October. Residents can read the 2004 Parks and Recreation Master Plan at the town website now.
