HUNTERSVILLE – A would-be robber was rebuffed at a Huntersville Wachovia after a teller refused to give him money, forcing him to run away, the Huntersville Police Department said.
The man entered the Market Square Drive branch off Gilead Road on Tuesday and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller refused to give him anything and he ran away, police said.
Witnesses said the man was seen driving a silver or gray Honda Civic. The suspect is a black man, about 6 feet 1 to 6-3 tall. He was last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, sunglasses and a denim shirt.
