DAVIDSON – The year-long Music at St. Alban’s Concert Series starts Sept. 25, at 3 p.m., with the popular BachFest.
Baroque violin virtuoso David Wilson, of San Francisco, will perform a violin concerto by J.S. Bach in the opening concert, and renowned organist John O’Brien will perform a Bach Organ Concerto. The concert takes place at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Lane. General admission tickets cost $15, and students and seniors pay $10. Children younger than 12 are free.

The next concert – Duo Pleyel – takes place Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. Andrew Willis and Brent Wissick will play music for piano and cello by Chopin and Faure.
Wissick’s cello will be strung with gut strings and Willis will play an original 1848 Pleyel piano, Chopin’s favorite type of instrument.
