DAVIDSON – Davidson United Methodist Church is organizing two new support groups in September – for people going through separation or divorce and another for people in grief over the loss of a loved one.

The eight-week separation-divorce group will meet on Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:30, starting Sept. 14, at the church’s Congregational Care House, 262 South St.

Mark and Gayle Olenik are leading the class, which is open to the public and will rely on Christian and secular resources, discussion and encouragement of each other.

The 10-week grief support group will meet on Thursday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m., starting Sept. 15, also at the Congregational Care House.

Karen Gray and Morgan Temple are leading the group, which also welcomes anyone in the community.

Those interested in joining either group can register and request child care by calling the church office at 704-892-8277.
