After a storm on Aug. 11, Huntersville resident Karl Joreid took pictures of two downed trees in the Northstone community. Joreid said lightning struck the tree at 16033 Hollingbourne Road, and nearby, wind toppled a tree at 16027 Hollingbourne Road.
