HUNTERSVILLE – K9-BootCamp and Carolinas Veterinary Care Clinic will observe Responsible Dog Ownership Day on Sept. 24 with free demonstrations, dog training tests and doggie ice cream.
Hundreds of organizations around the country participate in the month-long observance organized by the American Kennel Club to educate first-time dog owners about responsibilities of dog ownership and offer tips to current owners.
Carolinas Veterinary Care Clinic, 10110 Northcross Center Court, suite 100, will host the local event on the last Saturday in September from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. K9-BootCamp will offer free Canine Good Citizen Testing and free doggie ice cream to the first 25 dogs. Dog owners can take advantage of $5 nail trims, see obedience games and demonstrations and meet vendors and animal rescue groups.
