CORNELIUS – The Cornelius Board of Commissioners recently recognized Norris Woody for his service on the town’s Planning Board.
At the commissioners’ Aug. 15 meeting, Mayor Jeff Tarte presented Woody with a plaque of appreciation for contributions.
“Norris is truly an unsung hero,” Mayor Pro Tem Lynette Rinker added.
Woody has served the four-year limit on the board, serving as the planning board’s vice chairman. While he is stepping down, Woody says he has plenty to keep him busy.
Woody also serves on National Ski Patrol Board, and the Mecklenburg County Boy Scouts committee.
