CHARLOTTE – Friendship Missionary Baptist Church will host a community forum Thursday evening, Aug. 11, with candidates for three at-large seats on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education.

The candidates and community are invited to the forum at the church’s conference center, 3400 Beatties Ford, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Parents, teachers, community members and students will have the opportunity to hear the candidates respond to questions about the challenges facing the school district and broader community. Sixteen candidates are running for three at-large seats.
