HUNTERSVILLE – New Beginnings Moravian Church, 201 Seagle St., invites all community children 4 to 11 years old to its Rainforest vacation Bible school, which takes place Monday through Thursday, Aug. 15 to 18, from 5 to 7:30 nightly.

To register a child, parents should call the church office at 704-992-2003.

The church also is collecting baby items – including powdered formula, infant blankets, thermometers, mosquito netting, warm baby clothing, protein bars and infant vitamins – to benefit the children of Sierra Leone. Anyone interested can drop off donations at the church office Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.
