Lake Norman Charter School announced Wednesday, Aug. 10, that school director Tim Riemer would resign from the school effective Aug. 16, as the Herald Weekly reported two weeks ago.

Here is the release from the school:

"Managing Director Tim Riemer has submitted his resignation, which will be effective August 16, 2011.  The board of directors of Lake Norman Charter thanked Mr. Riemer for his three years of service to the school, and recognizes much has been accomplished under his leadership.

"The Board will begin a search process for a Managing Director immediately.   During the search period school operations will be managed jointly by Principal Stein and Principal Harrison.  The Board is very pleased with the preparations for the coming school year, and our teachers and staff are ready to welcome students on the first day of school August 17, 2011."
