CHARLOTTE – Carolinas HealthCare System will offer training in late July to equip volunteers to promote health and wellness in their faith communities.

Called Faith Community Health Promoter, the training takes place July 29, a Friday, from 5 to 9 p.m. and July 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Laypeople will learn how to start a health ministry and serve as health advocates at their church or religious group. Volunteers do not need a medical background.
