CORNELIUS – The executive director of the Cornelius-based Nehemiah Foundation will lead revival services at Blackstock First Baptist Church in Chester County, S.C.
Evangelist, missionary and author Tom Watchorn will begin the week-long revival at the Aug. 14 Sunday morning service and then preach at 7 nightly during the week.
Watchorn retired from banking in 1995, when he was regional president BB&T in Hickory. As lead missionary for the Nehemiah Foundation, Watchorn has traveled to Cuba, the Amazon region of Bolivia and the Middle East to conduct pastor training seminars. He’s also lived several years in Russia and the Ukraine.
Under the pen name A. Citizen, Watchorn wrote “A Time to Stand, Restoring God to His Rightful Place in America,” and he expects to speak on themes in the book, including “the Christian community’s lack of response to the moral decline of America and the government’s liberate attempts to remove all references about God from our nation’s history and culture.”
