DAVIDSON – Davidson Lands Conservancy needs to hear by Aug. 22 from local organizations and businesses interested in exhibiting their “green” practices at this year’s Green Day Festival.
The festival coincides with the land preservation group’s Run for Green and showcases organizations that model sustainable practices and promote environmental awareness. The festival and run take place September 17, a Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Davidson Village Green, on Main Street at Concord Road.
“We’re encouraging exhibitors to inspire, educate and/or engage participants of all ages on ‘green’ topics, from appreciating wildlife and native plants to natural alternatives to pesticides,” conservancy President Pam Dykstra said in a news release.
