HUNTERSVILLE – Central Piedmont Community College’s redesigned website, www.cpcc.edu, went live last week.

“Our website is an important marketing tool,” Dr. Tony Zeiss, the college’s president, said in a news release. “It helps us recruit students, informs the community of our upcoming events and connects local residents to the resources they need to find personal professional success.”

The website redesign features a new look and “more intuitive layout,” which the college based on research and feedback from users. With the redesign, the college’s Information Technology Services team created a new space for “Campus News” and direct links to the college’s calendar of events, theater box office and Corporate and Continuing Education Division.

Users will find much new on the site, including animation on the homepage and a more robust search engine, but the site retains older features, including social media links to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube and the online donor connection to the college’s foundation.

College officials launched the redesign during the fall registration period, one of the college’s busiest times, to help students more quickly connect to resources and class information they need to get started at Central Piedmont.

Registration for curriculum classes ends Aug. 14. Registration for all Corporate and Continuing Education classes continues throughout the term.
