RALEIGH – The North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program is holding its annual summer enrichment conferences at Elon University for current fellows in the rising junior and senior classes.
As part of budget cuts approved this spring, state lawmakers eliminated the scholarship program for teachers after June 30. The state will finish the program for four classes of fellows now attending college.
The conference for seniors took place July 15 to 17, while the conference for juniors will be held Friday to Sunday, July 22 to 24.
The annual conferences are a part of the program requirements for the fellows program, providing supplemental teaching experiences and enabling fellows from across the state to network.
