CHARLOTTE – Representatives from Lake Norman-area nonprofits attended a June 21 program sponsored by Pfizer and Charlotte’s Old North State Medical Society to learn about resources available to people who don’t have health insurance.

The program focused on Pfizer Helpful Answers, a family of patient-assistance programs for the uninsured and underinsured who need help getting Pfizer medicines, and strategies for helping local patients in need.

Through Pfizer programs, such as Sharing the Care, eligible N.C. patients can get Pfizer medicines at federally qualified health centers, including the C.W. Williams Community Health Center in Charlotte or Gaston Family Health Services and Highland Health Center in Gastonia. Patients also can apply directly to one of the Pfizer Helpful Answers programs to find out if they are eligible to get assistance and how.
