DAVIDSON – The nonprofit Davidson Cornelius Child Development Center will launch a pre-kindergarten Spanish-immersion program Aug. 29.

The program will meet Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and continue through June 1, 2012. Tuition costs $580 per month. No part-time option is available. The center is taking registration now and has scheduled tours at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 27, at 8:30 a.m.

Bilingual teachers will work towards a Spanish immersion environment, while also offering music, storytelling at the Davidson Library, monthly field trips, hearing and speech screening and on-site therapy.

The child development center limits class sizes to 15 students with two teachers in the room throughout the program day.
