CORNELIUS – The Cornelius Police and Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture departments are inviting the public to enjoy free entertainment and learn about crime prevention Aug. 2 to observe National Night Out.

Festivities last from 7 to 9 p.m. at Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave. The event will promote community safety and crime prevention, including local “community safety vendors,” and adults and children can enjoy children’s activities, entertainment and food.
