HUNTERSVILLE – Choate Construction crews have begun work on Hendrick Automotive Group’s Northlake Lexus dealership in the southwest corner of N.C. 115 and Alexanderana Road. The south side of project borders Interstate 485. The city approved plans for the “auto plaza” in 2008, and Hendrick installed interior roads and some trees before allowing the project to go dormant. City leaders approved revisions for the plans in May, according to one county official. Hendrick officials were not available to answer questions about the project before the Herald Weekly’s deadline.
